Similar numbers here. I've been for 45+ years, and remain, self-employed. (A) Every dollar paid into SS/MC [as SE taxes or as an employee of my PC/LLC] has come out of my own pocket AND (B) as I still work I still remit SS/MC taxes AND (C) my SS retirement benefits are also taxed. Interesting loop.
