So far in 2025, there have been 2,247 mass shootings* in the United States, according to the latest Gun Violence Archive data as of July 26, 2025. 47 were SCHOOL SHOOTINGS! 😡

After my sister died 2 years ago, I realized I was the keeper of the family history. The 48th anniversary of my mom’s death was Wednesday. Val & I used to text each other that day, remembering Mom. As I honored my Mom alone, I experienced another level of missing a sibling. Grief changes over time.
