It describes some American families’ struggles with receiving appropriate and effective reading teaching. It also talks about how Heineman sold reading schemes for profit rather than potential effectiveness. Lemov recommended it when I saw him in Lichfield. There are some heartbreaking stories.

Listen to the ‘Sold a Story’ podcast for a lot of the background to this. I have to say, it made me quite sad and angry too.
