Hope so, hey a small consolation prize is that it was clearly a good enough game to copy / rip. 😭They did a similar thing with semblance, stole the code, replaced the artwork and dropped it on mobile.

If it's any sort of weird consolation, I always ace the vibe check interviews and still dont get the jobs. I'm not sure what people are actually looking for these days. Maybe just straight up saying that you can exploit me, under pay me and I'll never complain?

Feel the same way as an artist. We're often just bought in to put a skin on top of the gameplay. Building the game after the early prototype phase should have art, writing and sound included. That way all the aspects work together and make for a better overall experience for the player.

From the article: "we don’t incorporate any outside ones from the AI outside of assisting in animation and other ones for backgrounds and so on and so forth.” that seems like they are still using genai to make stuff. Also the in-house would still use a base genai platform trained on copyright work.

That reddit has been ass for years, even before genai slop. The mods are on some serious power tripping and the comments are often really shitty and disparaging. They honestly did the artist a favour by preventing them from posting.

Yeah switching to Blender has been a journey. Tried Krita for non work stuff / studies and funsies personal stuff. It's great but as someone who uses loads of layers it just doesnt seem to handle that well. I make a new layer for everything so changes down the line are easier, so end up with 100's.

Please let me know if you get Photoshop to work. Krita has an amazing brush engine but the layer selection put me off so much just couldnt get use to it. So silly that an extra click or 2 can throw you off your process.

More like suckbird. Just another "brush" in the tool box....BS. It would have been minimal work for the logo artist to make those icons
