And once I cross that finish line, I feel content. Win or lose, it doesn't matter. I know I left everything out there. There’s no regrets because I honored every second of my running and my effort until the very end. And in that end, I knew, I truly lived in that moment.

Idk if I have ten years, ten minutes, or even ten seconds left in me. When I step on that track, every stride could be my last, and that’s exactly why I hold nothing back. All the emotions I feel, positive and negative, I compress it all into in my races and run like hell.

It beautifully captured the thrill of running and the warm catharsis it brings. The reasons we run are different for everyone, but for me, it comes down to one truth I initially rejected, but later accepted: life is fleeting.
