The same people who’ve spent the last several years decrying “unqualified DEI hires” are now shoehorning through Cabinet nominations who can’t even pass a basic background test.

This party has predicated so much of its identity on its supposed eagerness to root out pedophiles in government… and now these Republicans are poised to bury a report into Matt Gaetz’s alleged sexual misconduct involving a minor.

The GOP is where any semblance of longstanding principles go to die.

Rep. Dan Goldman: "Matt Gaetz is currently under an ethics investigation that was started after a serious criminal investigation for sleeping with underage women... The idea that you would put somebody who clearly has such a vendetta against the DOJ *in control* of the DOJ... is scary."
