I play many ttrpgs but mostly #dnd - started long time ago when AD&D (1e) was the current version. Also play a lot of boardgames.

We've sung this with our choir, last night. Ring the bells!

None 😓, I have a concert to participate in 🎼🎶

Tomorrow however, there definitely will be games. Probably Dorf Romantik, possibly Frantik, and whatever other board games we feel like.

Same.

Then, my party got teleported into another world. I asked the players to now write a backstory.

One of them "wrote" one for his and his wife's characters... using ChatGPT.
Guess what: it came up with the story of Dragons of Stormwreck isle, including the names of places and npcs 😭

This sounds like it is not what you want, or even what you expected.
Try find people to talk to about your feelings and desires. Maybe in your ttrpg group ?
Hopefully your husband supports you on this?

On the other hand, it is so good to play games as a part of raising children.

I did stop playing ttrpgs for a while, but restarted later. It is such a delight to play games with my children. One of them is even in my ttrpg group, now.

Dorf Romantik is on my/out list for the next days, too. We're half way our run.

Amazon won't let me buy the e-book because they won't "ship" this book to the Netherlands. Luckily their local competitor could ship it without any problem 🤯

That's is a very american post. AI slop is a worldwide problem, but many cultures do not have restaurant staff depending on tips, so the argument gets lost there.

In the last week, there have been a few almost-collisions between civilian airplanes departing from Curaçao and US military planes that have their transponders switched off. It's definitely not a safe situation around there, even outside of Venezuelan territory.

Also, my youngest player, 4yo, resumed their role of healing flamingo (for all of 15 minutes before it was their bed time 🦩)

how about free object interactions,

talking during your turn (or just anytime if your dm lets you),

and crying as a free action?

There are solutions to share music? For example, for discord you could use kenku.fm . Or is that not what you mean?

no, dnd re-imagined an existing christian ritual. in general, dnd took very many christian practices, biblical monsters, and stories, and mixed all into a game that some people then a few years later called satanic

dnd started in 1974, chtistianity a few centuries before that

Do I get a discount if I don't want the pdf's, since I already have them?
December 12, 2025 at 11:24 AM
Of course this assumes that a physical copy is available—not a given where I live.

Also, I usually prefer digital editions. So, I would also like to read about the quality of the digital media that are provided, such as bookmarks, searchability, and image rendering.

Assuming you were playing 5e, 'the book' (player's handbook) even has a section called "Variant: Skills with Different Abilities"

On the other hand, you can suggest a different roll, but the DM decides, by 'the book'.
