Between 2007 and 2022:

- The wealth of the top 10% grew 30% faster than for average households

- The wealth of 60 year olds has grown *100%* faster than 30 year olds

(both are underestimates as they miss the super wealthy)

It has been two years since the appalling attacks by Hamas terrorists. Those attacks included British citizens as their victims.

We stand with the Jewish community against all hatred and discrimination, the return of all hostages, and will do what we can to build a lasting peace.

Sof is one of the best comms people I've met.

Just 20% of Brits think today's youth will be have better lives than their parents.

That's 'cos today's youth are stuck in a Long-term Living Standards Crisis. Not enough good jobs and not enough houses.

That's why we have to create more good jobs and build a lot more houses

🚨 GOOD NEWS: SOCIAL MEDIA USE IS FALLING 🚨

Social media has become more damaging. We are being driven apart by algorithms that are designed to drive up engagement through outrage.

I am appalled by the horrid attack on worshippers at a synagogue in Manchester today, on Yom Kippur.

All of my thoughts are with those injured and their families. I stand with the British Jewish community against antisemitic hate. We are all stronger when we stand together.

Why did this Labour Party conference matter so much?

Join me for a delicious pint to find out 🍻

.@Ed_Miliband is right.

There is no law of economics that says we must all do well. We have to act to make it so: by investing in people and the communities they live in.

Britain achieves great things when we stand together, rather than apart.

Thank you to Peter Kyle for standing up for a united, inclusive Britain.

These are dangerous times we are living in. We have two choices in how we respond to them.

We can find someone to blame — as Reform do. Or we can act, so that we all do well.

Each of us coming together, with a common cause. Those are our Labour values.

My reflections on the PM’s speech on the last (full) day of Conference.

Supporting business is essential for growing the economy and creating good jobs 💼

Our values say everyone should be able to live a decent life.

Making life affordable is what this government will do.

A long-term strategy for British industry, trading with our allies, and implementing the Employment Rights Bill in full.

Peter Kyle’s Conference Speech set out how Labour is getting businesses growing and wages rising.

We can build a country where we all live a decent life. It is for us to make it so.
jeevunsandher.bsky.social
Great to be at Party Conference talking about the most important issue facing us: getting living standards rising.
jeevunsandher.bsky.social
Our nation succeeds when each of us does well and when we pull together around the values we share: unity, decency, determination.

🚙 We’re supporting JLR suppliers 🚙

This is the difference a Labour government makes. Working with businesses and workers to secure prosperity for all of us.

Fear and loathing are the defining emotions of our time. We are divided as never before.

We have to understand this moment in order to meet it. To meet it, we must build a vision of being British that unites us.

4) That is why we're acting on growth *and* bills. Good for country, good for us electorally.

Some of our action on bills 👇

- Investing in social homes to get down housing costs
- Investing in clean energy to get down bills
- Redistributing childcare costs to help parents
jeevunsandher.bsky.social
3) Getting costs down helps all of us *and* it helps the voters we are losing the most

Low- and middle-income voters spend more of their money on essentials.

Get bills down for all and helps the voters we are losing the most

2) Living standards are falling for *our* voters because of low growth *and* high costs

Low growth means lower wages

High costs are making us all poorer. Rising housing costs will make us *even* poorer. High energy and childcare costs will keep us poor
