Long before AI and smart devices, one of the most feared professors in grad school required oral exams — 1-on-1 for several hours. Others avoided him. I put him on my thesis committee. He put me through an all afternoon oral exam before he’d pass me. This is the way.

The qualitative framework is very interesting. Curious if there’s a quantitative framework to accompany. Bayes’ Theorem is a thing and been around forever. Much of AI uses Bayesian or similar techniques. Why can’t we teach humans to do the same? Not the math, per se, but what the math means?
