I’m sure that some people have judgments against queer and/or poly people and you’ve experienced them firsthand. I just don’t think that certain personal medical decisions like less frequent STI testing require them. Again, some people never masked, and some people stopped after mitigating risk

I did read it. You’re not wrong about medical otherization esp wrt to STIs but the link is not there regarding moral judgment. I no longer wear a N95 outside every day because I made a personal risk assessment, but I don’t think getting COVID is a moral failure, nor is being a medical high-risk

If my spouse *demanded* it, I would take the test and then file for divorce, and I know it would be the same in the other direction

Monogamous but queer, after 25 years of marriage, the suggestion in either direction that we should get tested would feel like an extreme betrayal. The suggestion that it would be necessary would betray everything we've built. It's an *explicit* declaration of lack of fundamental trust

This isn’t even remotely close. The dynamics are totally different. It’s more like people who still consistently wear N95s today and people who do not. Sure, some people never did, but other people feel like they’re sufficiently risk-mitigated where it’s not necessary despite edge cases

You literally just explained it yourself. Their conclusion is that the economy is great, and so they work backwards to find other reasons to explain away troubling indicators by creating scapegoats for “bad numbers”

They still haven’t really nailed his idiosyncrasies and models are still mostly crushing him to normal, but I think if someone made a dedicated model only based on his podcasts it would be pretty readily achievable lol
