The new R congress will almost undoubtedly let iq34 do anything he wants in any case.

At present, a President can basically declare tariffs by fiat...waving his magic wand, poof...there are tariffs.

There have been noises afoot over the past few years, including now, by Rs and Ds both, to more limit the Presidential side of that power and restore Congressional power.

The Constitution gives that power to the Congress.
The Congress, over time, has given much of that power to the President, really starting maybe 80 yrs ago.

Exactly. Constant overwhelm with nonsense while pulling a constant bait and switch...all for transactional personal $ gain. He doesn't care, literally, about anything or anybody else, well, except for being adored by morons.

Best way for us to counter this obvious effort on their part is to subscribe to solid journalistic efforts.

While it was disappointing that a few didn't endorse anyone this time, their journalists work hard for us:

Atlantic, Sci Am'n, WashPo, Philly Inq, NYT for starters.

and yet...
in the red FL county in which I work to GOTV,
Dem vote was 79% of registered Dems, 7% higher than the Huge % Dems got for Joe 2020. No 20% drop as nat'l numbers show, but 7% gain!
I don't buy that "Dems weren't excited and simply didn't show up".

Makes zero sense on the GOTV ground.
