The Trump administration's new head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency is the meteorologist who backed up Trump during ‘Sharpiegate,’ when NOAA said Hurricane Dorian would not hit Alabama, but Trump said it would and drew its path over Alabama with a Sharpie. Dorian didn't hit Alabama.

Trump sends militarized Federal agents into Chicago, attacking sleeping people with assault tactics, and when they fight back, film them and distribute the film as proof that the city is on fire with rebellion.

My favorite was when they shot a minister in the head when he was praying.

Hmmm--Trump's thugs are doing just that in LA, DC, Portland, Memphis, and Chicago. Trump says terrorists are "the enemy within." You don't get more "within" than the White House.

The Oklahoma legislature just ordered that any teacher coming from New York or California to work in Oklahoma must pass a MAGA test so children are protected from "radical left" thinking.

Don't worry--teachers from NY and CA won't want to work in Oklahoma.

MSNBC commentators are wondering today if Chicago police can arrest National Guard soldiers who are breaking the law by following Trump's illegal orders.

Yes. The Uniform Code of Military Justice requires service members to refuse to follow unlawful orders. Following them is itself a crime.

If Trump can get away with Federalising California's National Guard troops and sending them to police Portland, Oregon, then he can Federalise all states' Guard troops and have them police the entire country. So be nice when some soldier from Louisiana with an AK-47 shows up to take you to prison.

All American military, including National Guard, should refuse to follow orders sending them into American cities. It's un-Constitutional, un-American, and those ordering it--Trump, Hegpeth, and their cronies--should be arrested, prosecuted, and given stiff jail terms. Enough of this crap.

Just saw a video of Stephen Miller in a school bus describing how it's better to torture your enemies than to kill them. "By cutting off their fingers," he suggested. He liked the idea of giving his enemies stumps for hands for the rest of their lives. Miller's even more ghoulish than he looks.

I have been a journalist since high school, now including a B.A. in Journalism and histories on several dailies. Journalists are failing us. The profession requires us to tell the truth. Yet media presents Trump's BS as if it were truth. No more! When he lies, it should be ignored or IDed as lies.

All these ICE agent bullies and soldiers who follow orders to invade cities are CRIMINALS. They are all required to refuse illegal orders, and all their orders are illegal. Take names and numbers. They are all going to prison. And the next President won't pardon them.

So basically Trump told all the top brass of our military that they should get their troops ready to declare war on those Americans who challenge him. He calls them "the radical left," and that "it's war," and that "they're the enemy within," and that the war will be in the streets of our cities.

The folks who won our Revolutionary War were just a bunch of farmers. The green soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy were youngsters. Now Hegseth wants our troops looking like the cookie-cutter fascist warriors of autocracies everywhere. "Man up!" he's telling our bravest military men.

America's officially nuts now. The President orders soldiers into American cities so they can use the cities for military training. Meanwhile, the Secretary of War orders all top brass to Quantico to tell them to stop being woke pussies, while Trump says they look "right out of central casting."

Trump's narcissism has curdled into cruelty. At the same time, his grasp of current events has lost its focus and become diaphanous, allowing memories to impinge on reality. "War-ravaged Portland" gets troops. Med-beds will re-grow your limbs. Iranians seeking help are deported back to the mullahs.

The six conservative justices of the Supreme Court just put another jewel in King Trump's golden crown. Congress allocated $4 billion for foreign food aid to famine-wracked countries under a law Trump is forced to honor. Trump asked the Court to give him the power of the purse. The Court said okay.
