That One Other Guy

Inter/multidisciplinary guy. If you have resources, I can probably help you. But maybe you don't need my help if you have things under control? On the other hand, it doesn't appear that you have things under control.
Amazing. Every time I'm on the cusp of subscribing to the New Yorker, they do some bullshit like this.

Yup.

To be fair, that page on the DOE website will be gone by the end of the day....

This. After 20 years, I ran the NYC Marathon again and remembered at mile 19 that I had stopped running it because I really didn't like running marathons. Still run Halfs, though.

Just to note, where I live 12-year-olds doing 20+mph on streets and sidewalks is already unlawful and could be stopped. Your beef is with law enforcement, not legally-riding ebikers.

Been a Times guy for a long time but I guess I’m done.

But also...how pathetic is it that a candidate has to forge signatures on their own nominating petition? Pretty pathetic.

This is my whole thing.

First thing I thought of when they started demolishing the East Wing. His MO is to get it destroyed before anyone can do anything to preserve it.

Similarly, rural people (where I live) repeatedly talk about the higher quality of living in rural areas. Yet, housing is much more expensive in urban areas. Why do you think that is?

As someone who lived in ATL at the time, what we were promised was disaster if their policies were implemented. What we got was the world's busiest airport, early and under-budget (among other things).

It's a fantastic piece, Roth (required to call you Roth), that I've read about a half-dozen times and recommended to others. I wouldn't say it made me feel better but it was consoling. Kinda hoping Defector will buy the rights to reprint it from Flaming Hydra.

To be fair, they all do this.

Interesting that the value of gathering more user data to sell via app easily surpasses the value of being findable on the Internet. Says a lot!

Yes, this. The Guardian tells me how many articles I've read in a year but refuses to tell me the value of those articles even though I would be willing to pay. Forcing a subscription model on every reader, no matter how itinerant, is leaving money on the table. Seems bad...for them.

Get in line, man.

On the other hand, Furry Happy Monsters on Sesame Street was awesome. Muppet Kate!
