We needed all the thousands of pieces of the puzzle to restore the ecosystem—the uplands, wetlands, etc., not just add water. We examined the soils and re-contoured the land to bring back the subtle changes in elevation, exposing dormant seed banks, planting adjacent prairie, and more. #diversity

This is great, and reminded me that while John Cabrelli drinks gallons of coffee in the Northern Lakes Mystery series, Julie Carlson is a tea gal which barely gets mentioned.
