Jesus is strong, good, kind, and trustworthy. Francophile. Fan of Weird Al, the U.S. Constitution, and dolce far niente. "Be curious, not judgmental." Ex-GOP, politically homeless. Pastor, but not the angry, faux-macho kind.
I'm sure there's serious opportunistic price gouging. Whether my trust is justified or not, I tend to assume that's less the case at Aldi - but who knows?

3/16! [(Half of 1/4, or 1/8) + (1/4 of 1/4, or 1/16)]

Even as one with some carpentry experience, this makes me long for the metric system.

Any dinner rolls left? That's all you need for a complete breakfast.

A bag of store brand chocolate chips from Aldi was less than $2 a year ago. I nearly gasped out loud when buying some this week and saw they are $3.75!

So much winning.

I understand. My wife's family are all Buckeyes; her grandpa was careful never to buy anything in MI. We lived in East Lansing for several years (Go Sparty!), but my teen years were in Oklahoma, where the OU-Texas rivalry is just as bitter and hate-filled (Hook 'em!).
Still better than actual war.

I don't think that's hot, it's totally accurate. Matt 5-7 and 13 are absolutely huge for seeing and tresuring the Kingdom ... well, really, all of Matthew. It's just a masterpiece showing the glorious, humble King and his beautiful Kingdom, and inviting us to have both.

Not just Nazism, it's also the historical argument for race-based chattel slavery.
This is where Popper's paradox of tolerance comes in. A functional tolerant society can't tolerate ideas that destroy tolerance. Miller's ugly ideas have no place in decent society.

Hahaha!
For Presbyterians, I prescribe a Psalm, a pipe, and an adult beverage of your choice. The scowl doesn't go away conpletely, but it does start to turn up at the corners.

I mean, really, immersion is just ultra-sprinkling, right? 😄

Oh, for sure. I wasn't trying to make a point, just acknowledging assumptions I'd made.

Also, Happy Thanksgiving!

I grew up in a sprinkling church and I always thought John did full immersion - based on the mention of his baptizing where there was much water, and association with the Essenes and the the parallel use of mikvahs for full-body cleansing.
Maybe he only sprinkled, though 🤷‍♂️
We can ask him one day!

I love 'bisquits' - I knew some older southern relatives and family friends who spelt it thataway

See also, Halloween.

Oh, to have the courage and faith of Michaiah when all of Ahab's prophets are telling him to offer pleasing flattery and the king himself threatens his life.

Lord, may I not be a court prophet to an unholy power. Regardless of the cost, may I be true to you and your kingdom.

Even worse - the servile acquiesence of the church to the state's unholy demands.

Should've brought him a frozen Giordanos and offered to heat it up for him. Also, Christmas is coming - no Frango mints?

Is this post your words, or what the L'Oreal CEO is thinking?

I'm so curious to know if he believes any of the stuff he says.
