Some of their work, though, seems a bit uninformed. Like the track of a ship moving back and forth in a semicircle being suspicious when it's actually typical of a vessel that's at anchor, moving with the changing currents.

The most popular 3I/Atlas subreddit was started by a crytobro back in July and immediately abandoned and it quickly began to overflow with unmoderated nonsense. Some members asked reddit to assign a moderator; the forum got shut down instead and several nuttier offshoots sprang up.

Some people have been turning to LLMs to get their astrophysical "analysis" of the interstellar comet 3I/Atlas, but what they're getting is mostly a mindless regurgitation of Avi Loeb's fanciful claims, sometimes filtered through uncritical coverage of his daily blog posts.
