Excuse my language but how TFF is this allowed? Unsurprisingly the donor is domiciled in Thailand and donating to a British political party (sic)!! This loophole, if it is such, must be closed immediately! The govt must act on this NOW!! 😡
Politics latest: Reform receives biggest ever donation from someone still alive

Nigel Farage and Reform are a danger to national security, the Liberal Democrats will continue to hold them to account and defend our democracy.

The BBC is ours. It's ours to love. Ours to criticise. Ours to shout at when we feel in the mood.

And if Farage thinks that the way to win favour with voters is to stand around cheering as Trump takes down the BBC for $1 billion of personal enrichment then he's a bigger fool than anyone thought.

If Trump does sue the BBC for $1bn it may leave some of his ideological fellow travellers here in a tricky situation. Do the Conservatives and Reform join in with BBC bashing? Or will doing so be seen as unpatriotic? After all, it would be the British public who would ultimately pay for any damages.

The Liberal Democrats are the biggest beneficiaries of Labour's collapse, gaining more switchers than Reform UK. The Greens are also taking large numbers of former Labour backers.

(Certainly not what you'd guess given the national narrative.)

Picked up some Lib Dem stats at conference. Some of these surprised me (especially given media coverage):

1. The Liberal Democrats now control more councils than the Conservative Party

2. In May's local elections in England, the LDs elected more councillors than either Labour or the Tories.
