New studio piece based on a Hipstamatic photo I took a loooong time ago. Did a small notan/value pencil thumbnail and a whiskey painting (3x5) sized preliminary painting as well.

My sketches from Thursday’s Zoom StreetView World Tour put on by @herbcoil and @ronkiponk Once a month they have a guest artist come on and sketch Google Street Views and you sketch along with them. The shorter sketches are for only 20 minutes. Tiny touch up afterward.

With the Urban Sketchers at the Natural History Museum last Sunday.
Decided to sketch some hominids. Bipedalism is now thought to have gone back 6 to 7 million years! Lucy was a big deal when she was discovered in the late 70s, and she was walking upright 3 to 3.9 MYA.
