Not sure there's a conventional "lesson" in there anywhere. But I do think of him a lot. If I manage a second act in another line of work it will be something I wake up in, like after a bender. "How did I end up in middle management badging in every day?"

I've been a game designer and editor of minor repute for most of my 30 working years. A while ago, a musician friend in his late 50s told me there was no second act for him. He was a gig musician, and that was his path. He's still on it.

Holy cats. I like Taskmaster a normal amount too, but this is extraordinarily normal.
