I live in Santa Barbara and we had St Bernard’s growing up. They were miserable here. One year we rented a house in Mammoth and they wouldn’t even come inside. They were SO happy in the snow.

They got us through Covid. We’d sit in the backyard and watch them delivering food to the babies for hours having cocktails.

I told some birders and they didn’t believe me. They don’t exist where I live so they thought it was an escaped pet. It lived with 2 mallards for 3 months then disappeared.
