Wizards thank god everyday for their fighter buddy until they get 6th level spells and pay for their retirement as they become the best class in the system and witches don't have that rough early game while still being a top 5 class. Very bueno.

Hexes cannot be dispelled, some of them persist even if they save, and they don't require concentration checks nor provoke attacks of opportunity. Witches trade some of the versatility of a full wizard to have some free spammable debuffs that make them a LOT better early to mid game

Male them test will for all eternity. All shall have -2 AC which is just legitimately good and always stays good

They very much are! You always have something to cast without worrying about using a spell slot
