I am a statistician and data analyst. I can get #'s from all over the place (& I worked for a company that helped the US Census bureau project demography). Only a dope (or someone with dementia) would think you have to be enlisted to see the racial and gender stats of the armed forces.

You have 5 followers...and I'm sure you served for a short time at a single base location, so that is really all you can tell me about. You're just noisy. And incidentally, DEI initiatives started in the military in the 1970's--if you truly served before then, maybe it's your dementia speaking.

You clearly don't understand what DEI initiatives mean. You're just parroting your leaders. If people had actually been considered and promoted on merit (color-blind, gender-blind, no consideration of religion or creed), there would have never been a need for DEI.

So you think Black Americans and American women are going to want to join up if they know from the start that they will not get the same consideration for assignments and promotions? How much of our current volunteer forces are minorities or women? That's who DEI affects mainly.

I'd like to remind the Speaker that fixed houses in CA will kick in lots of income tax dollars, whereas fixing a damaged house in his state will actually cost the US money because he's from a "taker" state.
