We made it out. Summer and I are in the Netherlands, where I bike every day to my new job. The people I work with are friendly and brilliant, and our organization takes really good care of its people. We move into our new house, which is tiny but pretty, in early September.

Or Bialik just released 'Because my mom said so.' I felt echos of Stross's Laundry Files, with lots of spy thriller-meets-supernatural-sci-fi-bureaucracy, and Tamsyn Muir's Gideon, with some fantastic fights with superpowered queer characters. I couldn't put it down.

I recorded a one minute version of my song “Waiting by the Door”, playing my mandolin. It’s inspired by the story of Purim, when Mordecai must wait outside with the others not really welcome at the King’s celebration.
