I've been hesitant to say I'm writing a book (anxiety, don't want to jinx anything, not sure, etc.). But I've made an important decision. No more hedging. I'm writing a book! I can finally see its shape & contours. Now to get it done!

I’m behind on Shine and finally watched ep 5 tonight. When people started calling it a masterpiece after ep 1, I rolled my eyes. I take it back. This is an f-ing masterpiece! Cinematography. Acting. Script. Politics. Versatility. Love triangle. No #ThaiBL cliches. Just art. Amazing. #BLSeries

Dorothy L. Sayers’ “Have His Carcase” has this lovely description of Peter’s age: “the halcyon period between the self-tormenting exuberance of youth and the fretful carpe diem of approaching senility.” Like Peter, I intend to “extract an Epicurean enjoyment” from this phase of life.

I’m nearly halfway through rewatching #KinnPorsche again. Clearly it’s my favorite #ThaiBL. But it’s also that we’re clearly not in a great Thai BL moment right now. #Gelboys and #ThamePo were great, but I’m not really feeling any of the current shows. 1/

My time in the UK was productive: 32 #manuscript miscellanies, commonplace books, & unbound collections at the #BritishLibrary, the V&A, the U of Nottingham, the U of Leeds, & #HolkhamHall. I hope to be back in a year to see 2 I couldn’t see and 2 I want to spend more time with.
