What are you reading this weekend?
I’ve been reading Leonora Carrington’s ‘The Debutante and Other Stories’ for a while. The stories are only a couple of pages each, so reading them too quickly makes them blur together. Best to go slow and savour the weird, unnerving, magical, glorious nonsense.

I have tried three times to read Wolf Hall, and never managed to get past the first 100 pages. I have no idea why, because the writing is amazing, and it’s exactly the kind of story I should love. Attempt number four is starting now (possibly the final attempt)
