I'm hoping maybe that I can capture some sense of magic through the friendsgiving I'm planning on sunday, but am trying not to put too many hopes on it. I have a vision on how I'd like it to go, but as long as people are happy and bring food and there's laughter, that'll be a good first step.

I'm trying to make my own magic, create a new sense of togetherness, but it's hard. I miss Nana. I miss the smells of her house, of family members helping out and yelling at the younger cousins to set the table. But I get to see my parents and brother, and it makes them happy to see me hosting.
