The Xinka People demand that Pan American Silver permanently close the Escobal mine. It threatens their environment, water, language, culture, and territory. Tell the CEO of Pan American Silver to respect their decision.

Huge march in Cuenca, Ecuador today to protect water and say no yet again to Dundee Precious Metals' Loma Larga mine project that has threatened water, high moorlands known as Kimsacocha and the health of downstream rural and urban people for over twenty years. Hands off Kimsacocha! Cuenca says no!

Today, thousands of Cuencanos are taking to the streets to march for the protection of water against metal mining, showing an overwhelming opposition to Canadian mining in the paramo de Kimsakocha, Ecuador!

Justice now for the brutal murder of Honduran environment defender Juan López, brutally murdered one year ago today as he was leaving church for standing up against corruption and mining in Tocoa. The intellectual authors of this vile crime must be held to account!

This was not in self defense and drug smuggling is not a capital offense. These are extrajudicial killings — mass murder on the high seas illegally ordered by the President of the United States. US service personnel do not get to play judge, jury, and executioner.

Breaking!

City of Burnaby just became first city in Canada to join arms embargo movement against Israel AND the first Apartheid-Free City, breaking ties with Israeli apartheid and settler colonialism.

We've been organizing for months towards this precedent in colonial Canada.
