All I can say is, may this year be far better than the last. The horrors and sadnesses of 2025 were the very worst I have seen simultaneously on every level in my 54 years- global, national, local and personal. I know it may never get to where it should be, but it has to improve. It has to.

It's hard to prepare for upcoming holidays. Normal is gone. We can pass the turkey, but will there be snap benefits for those that can't afford one? There will be a parade with fun balloons, but down the street they might be zip-tying children. The foliage is beautiful, but the country is decaying.

Help me understand. The brainwashed maga crowd is so far gone. I was looking at comments re: the sit-in/accusations about anyone on the left being evil. Other than because tr*mp said so, why, exactly, with all the blatantly evil things the right are saying and doing, do they think the left is evil?

I have been eating a Mediterranean style diet. I have been doing well and feel this is a healthy, sustainable choice for me. But today will be 100% cheesy, buttery casseroles, sweet, yummy cakes and puddings, chocolate bunnies and jelly beans.
