I think some of that is also carelessness. Switch is an easily distracted boy, and he's intelligent, but he's not always smart. Fortunately he has a hyper-cautious partner to take care of him, whilst he's been good at getting her to enjoy life more.

There's a great documentary, 'iron Ladies' coming to UK and Irish cinemas on Friday, which looks at women's role in the '84 miners' strike and at the Thatcherites' carefully managed destruction of that way of thinking.

I once had to spend a week in a tent like that and there are few things more miserable than feeling icy cold and damp and knowing one has to somehow sleep anyway. When there's no end in sight for months, even a healthy person would struggle to survive, and they're already badly malnourished.

Unfortunately for him, he also has the extra long feet that are a classic feature of the breed, which means that sometimes when he's cleaning himself he tips over backwards and rolls around like a ball.

Yes, that's our understanding. He's the most perfect example of it that I've ever seen; most just have fuzzy, greyish spots. When we first met him we were amazed that he was a real animal.

Thank you. He's a rescue rabbit but when I looked up his breed online the only example I could find that looked anywhere near as striking turned out to be one of his brothers. As well as the spots, they have a straight black line along the middle of the back and belly, like some kind of cartoon.

I try not to let it affect how I rate a film because I know that sometime it's out of the hands of the original creative team, but it can still be a big problem for viewers, and sometimes it needs a warning note.

Bear in mind that the measles vaccine uses lives virus - perfectly safe for most people, but one can't get it if one is immunosuppressed or pregnant. Those of us in that position rely on other people denying the disease the opportunity to spread.

A friend of mine in Gaza pointed out that people there have been exposed to some really nasty carcinogens because of the materials they have had to burn in order to stay warm and cook food. The tumor risk will likely be quite a bit above average, throughout their lives.

AI subtitling is especially bad at picking up negatives. I saw one recently which changed words to the effect of "You can't go in there, it's not safe," to "Go in there, it's safe." Sure, i tend to see early cuts, and I hope someone caught that before it went on general release, but still. 😐

I just saw a film with a named human translator in the credits. More of this please. Lately there has been a worrying tendency for films to rely on AI subtitling, and it frequently gets things plot-changingly wrong.

Frankly, exposure to another language - even if it's something like Klingon - is a huge gift to give a child. It massively improves their linguistic flexibility going forwards, helps with confidence and may have positive effects on other areas of learning too.
