I think you'd enjoy Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni- it's a retelling of Mahabharat from a female perspective and she marries 5 brothers at the same time! The story is beautiful and magical. Also, Bright Sword by Lev Grossman which takes a novel approach on the King Arthur legend.
