...I am certainly NOT excusing the violence that happened today. At the same time, I will not be surprised if it turns out the suspect (or their loved one) was denied coverage. This is the world we live in now: the economically depressed are oppressed, while also living with a crazy gun 'culture'.

A year ago, after having worked for Geico for 13+ years I decided I had to leave. In the previous 2 years they had eliminated profit sharing, stopped giving promised raises, & as of 1/1/24 they were taking away our HMO Health Ins & were forcing us into the crappiest plan with United Health Care...

I've been on "vacation" the last 10 days. Tomorrow is my first day back. Nervous to see what will be on my desk... And will my office be painted as promised? Looking forward to a calming blue/grey colour, and hanging newly acquired art.
