I hear a lot of talk about legislatures in states like Ohio and Missouri blocking the will of the voters on abortion. Colorado is as blue as they come, but that doesn't mean there aren't arms of the state the think they're above the people.

We went to a concert, and there was a drunk guy who yelled "woo" when he liked the music, put his feet up, and staggered in and out of the concert hall, once coming back with a new drink. Much of which sounds normal for a concert until I tell you it was Beethoven's triple concerto and 5th symphony.

I view today's decision as yet another grave misuse of our emergency docket. This Court should have stayed its hand. Having opted instead to join the fray, the Court plainly mis- judges the irreparable harm and balance-of-the-equities factors by privileging the bald assertion of unconstrained executive power over countless families’ pleas for the sta- bility our Government has promised them. Boulder has a Chautauqua Park with a concert hall--basically a big barn with lots of gaps in the walls. You can buy a ticket, like for a regular theater, or you can picnic outside and listen for free.

A guy ran into a classroom at the University of Washington threw up Nazi salutes, yelled a bunch of slurs, then roughly 30 students chased him down, got him arrested.

Has this been interpreted in comparable situations? It seems like there would be a fair argument that the point of the agreement is to prevent the host nation from acting on its own, but that in this case the impediment is coming from the ICC.

"HC" is also used to refer to things you need to already know to succeed (ex: In law school, you should go to office hours for help and also to create material for rec letters.) You're often more likely to have learned those things from the HC at an elite college, or in an elite family.

"HC" refers to the things taught implicitly rather than explicitly. It points out that education is a process of socialization, not just transmission of information. It often operates through what is excluded (ex: elementary school library with no books showing same-sex or mixed-race couples).
