Why were they so easily duped? There are pictures everywhere of him w/ Epstein and Maxwell, and decades of history. He had associates in his cabinet, on his legal team. Trump certainly wasn’t the only one, but he did make “releasing the files” a prominent part of his campaign, only to deep6 them now

I have a feeling the minute they are back in session at least a few of the Republicans currently backing Massie will change course. Maybe they vote to bring it to the floor and then vote no during the full vote, but eventually they will probably betray the survivors.
