Today I spent time with my Team Libertad peeps putting together backpacks full of supplies. These amazing people are good for my soul. There is always something to be done and right now Nam trying to help out in as many ways as I possibly can.

Cranked out some postcards today in support of Erick Allen. Cobb peeps, there is an election on Feb 11 for Cobb County Commission in districts 2 & 4. You know I NEVER miss an election. Tomorrow I’ll be at Intown Church packing backpacks with essentials for (we hope) future asylum seekers.

Today Jackie and I made a difference in the lives of 5 fellow human beings. Truth be told, we planned it this way, for her to be here on this day. It was our way of putting love & kindness out in the world. My heart is full & I am so grateful to have spent the day with good people, choosing love.

Snow day! I used my time to order winter coats & re-stock my bags o’ supplies that I will haul in to the airport next week. These bags fit in my wagon and I roll with them stacked 3 high. One bag of coats, 1 with hoodies + shoelaces + hats, & 1 with charging supplies + socks + chocolates + shoes.

Preparing to head out to The Carter Center where I will volunteer for 7.5 hours as former President Jimmy Carter lies in repose. We honor a life well lived by a great humanitarian. What a gift he was to all of humanity. 💔

Last week in airport accompaniment I handed out charging cables/bricks, socks, snacks, water, coats, backpacks, and shoes. I also researched flight options and printed boarding passes. Later I took 5 through special security screening and to departure gates.

1 of 50 dropped at the curb of the airport in 40° weather. Going to NYC. So we loaded him up with coat, hoodie, hat, and blanket. We also printed his boarding pass, fed him, gave him phone charging supplies, and accompanied him through security and to his departure gate.

Can you imagine navigating air travel without speaking English, without ID, and going to a city you’ve likely never been to before? Glad to have received these gifted phones from a friend that we can now provide, as needed, to the travelers we assist.
