Anyone who shows up at my door will be greeted with snacks and cats. I answer to Mom, Jenn, and Teacher. Life-long learner and listener. SO is The Geekpreacher
Ghost in the Machine, except it is totally fake.

This sounds like a good plot for a horror story.

My favorite part is the dimples in the snow that vanish as the horse and man walk forward

I don’t want DT or Bondi to appoint a special team to investigate. Let’s get Jack to do it.

We will take chocolates to eat while we read Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary.

There are other life long problems. My father had mumps as an adult, and ended up in the hospital. He developed pancreatitis and couldn’t eat fats, high sodium, or spicy foods for the rest of his life.

My mother always says “you’re lucky you were born” when she tells this story.

Ok that makes sense. She’s aware Kid Rock’s audience never reads their Bibles.

Sooo… it’s a synonym for “a****le.” That was my guess. I really hope culture swings to more friendly forms of entertainment soon, instead of this Tate inspired posturing.

I think I’ll go watch Muppet sketch comedy now.

Ewwwww. Whatever he meant, I hope many more young women bring him regret in public until the day he learns better behavior.

I’m assuming Clavicular must monetize videos, and that’s the primary reason for the posturing.

My guess is the guy was harassing a young woman and then her friends showed up and made him experience regret and shame. Now he wants to whine.

Was that your guess? I’m wondering if ‘moid’ is a rather rude synonym for man.

What a sweet baby!

Of course they have. “We look like a****les, so we’re going to punish you for making us look bad.”

I’m really glad to see someone share a written article, and not the racist image.

I have seen the image on Bluesky several times now. This is the first time I’ve seen an article.

Obama made me a Democrat. I voted against him the first time, and he changed the way I understood the USA.

I work in a school. I can hear the chant in my head.

😬 Zeus and Hera did not have a good relationship in the myths. Outfits like that should only be worn ironically, by people who are prepared to tell the ancient stories.

Didn’t people have to smuggle drugs for treating HIV/AIDS into America at one point because our government banned them?

There was nothing wrong with the stories I was introduced to as a child; many are wonderful books I’d read again today!

Reading stories that are outside my experience is like walking through a door into a world of ideas and thoughts I would never find on my own.

The flip side is important too- it’s important to read about people who are Different than yourself. I read stories about white girls growing up; clever girls, pioneer girls, ordinary girls, etc.

I read fewer stories about POC girls. I didn’t meet books like that until I found them on my own.

The whole attitude of “brown people didn’t exist in the ancient world or ever in England/Europe” is insane.

This really proves that Representation matters.

I can easily see that animal in either a space creature or a horror movie role. Maybe both.

“Return of the Flying Pink Headless Chicken Monster FROM SPACE!”

“It crawled out of the sea after its ship crashed…and now it’s coming FOR YOU!!!”

I still cannot grasp the energy needed to create a 3000 light years long plume! Too big of a number!

I’m glad the analogy isn’t bad! It made sense to me if matter expelled by a black hole is really being repelled, to visualize it as bouncing off, like a basketball. That’s a good idea linking that to Earth’s magnetic field! I’ve read enough of that idea to relate that to black holes.
January 31, 2026 at 11:29 PM
The mental image my brain comes up with is a basketball bouncing off the rim, and I neither play basketball nor do I study astrophysics. I have no idea if that in any way fits, that’s just the best image I have.

I am an academic interventionist who works with kids struggling with the decoding part of reading. I like to have conversations with them about the structure and patterns in phonics. This really seems to help! I try to work in the 5 W’s: who, what, where, when, why & how.
