Look at these cuts that will devastate med/behavioral health research, severely limit mental health services, & end educational programming.
YOU help STOP these cuts by flooding Congress using the link below.
This is for ANYONE to do, so please spread the word!!

I so wanted to include this aspect of how the project came about in the piece, but there was just too much to say about the study (and background) that I ran out of space!

If you have opinions about program officers being political appointees please read & make a public comment (link at end of article).

"Such comments matter: They must be read & responded to by federal officials and can provide the basis for courts overturning new rules from the executive branch."
Institutionalizing politicized science

Canadians abroad, don't forget we can now vote in federal elections!

If you aren't on the international voter registry yet, there's an extra step to getting your ballot. It's quick and easy but do it ASAP so you get your ballot in time!

These interviews offer such an important window into the lives of the people clinical psychology aims to help, and their experiences with the medical and research community.

They are FREE for the next month, please read and share.

I love telling my American friends about the first time I voted in Canada. I got a 3 x 5 slip of paper with five names on it, I checked a box, put the voting slip in a cardboard box through a hole cut out at the top.

I spoke with a friend last night who is not in the science world; she had no idea about what's been going on over the past few weeks.

It was a great reminder that we don't need to focus on reaching people who might disagree with us -- we need to reach people who will agree with us.

Curious what piece specifically you are referring to? I know my colleagues at Nature Reviews Immunology starting publishing a 'preprint watch' column during the pandemic as a way to surface potentially important COVID research (editorial here: www.nature.com/articles/s41...)
