got a home energy plan visit from Center for Energy and Environment today and yes the audit was thorough and helpful, but I mostly recommend it for their identification of slime as an auxiliary lap heating unit! look how warm she is!!

i’m a known appreciator of street sweeping, but now i’ve found my new favorite holiday - tree trimming day! the boulevard buckeye says thanks

MPD camera trailers in bike lanes are certainly one trend in modern policing
view from a bike lane at a one way street facing you. the street is open to cyclists in both directions with striped bike lanes. the bike lane if you were to continue straight ahead has a mobile police camera trailer blocking it, there is also another truck in the bike lane ahead of it. to continue biking on your path you need to travel in the oncoming vehicle lane. this is a block that leads to a well used pedestrian/cyclist only bridge.

feeling under the weather so i made a quick shiitake rice porridge (버섯죽)

it is so windy and i am eating 솟밥. earthenware pot rice w what’s the fridge
earthenware pot (called donabe in japanese or ddukbaegi in korean) filled with rice that is boiled and steamed, topped with chopped edamame, carrot, celery, and chinese sausage. the same pot of rice mixed with the other toppings. two divots were made to cook eggs mixed rice meal served in a smaller bowl. newspaper behind it has a headline with the word bowl.

bowl of stir fried rice, with leftover seared steak and cabbage + beautiful egg on top. pepper lunch was popularized from a japanese chain of the same name which is a dish of seared steak, rice, onion w a savory steak sauce, topped with corn, optionally mixed all together. for a home application its a great leftovers friendly style of fried rice.
