100%. This "gentle parenting" has gotten out of hand and most of those parents aren't doing it correctly which is why we have a problem.

Yeah, I see an air of fetishization in how some women talk about M/M. A lot of comments underneath are more about their frustrations with heteronormativity, and it becomes more objectifying than celebratory. It also flattens queer experiences and ignores how complicated those relationships can be.

I agree. I actually was hesitant because I've never liked anything Jacob has been in. Plus I didnt like the idea of a "pretty" monster. But this movie was so well done and I thought he did such an amazing job in the role. I keep wanting to watch it again.

All of these comments are made by people who only started reading because of tiktok. And a good chunk of those books are so badly written so I understand why they say that. Newer books (regardless of POV) have a serious lack of yearning. We are in an epidemic.
