And if they don't have a chronic illness or some kind, and they just wanna sit around all day bedrotting... realistically I would rather they do that somewhere safe than do anything important. And they would probably make a pretty crappy coworker.

I think Trump should put his money where his mouth is and try some Olympic level skiing
February 10, 2026 at 1:12 AM
I will die on the hill that even the most burned out people would only do nothing for some number of months max and then they would find something. Maybe volunteering, maybe career training. Maybe something creative. Maybe one of them would cure cancer if they only had time to do more than survive

Can we please eliminate the Soc Sec contribution cap?

Also why is the leadership of the DOJ not in contempt for dragging their feet and their inappropriate censoring of the Epstein files
February 9, 2026 at 11:54 PM
Why has the DOJ leadership not been held in contempt and arrested along with Trump? What are we supposed to do if there are no consequences to defying the law?

I wish there was a better source for this but this dude in Arizona isn't wrong

And now shitting in the oval office is apparently just fine.
February 8, 2026 at 6:47 PM
Literally the reason political parties exist. To represent voters.

To bitch about not getting enough leftist votes while rejecting leftist ideals is absurd.

Maybe this time the moderates could try voting blue no matter who.
February 8, 2026 at 6:29 PM
Would I expect them to get it all right away? No.

But it seems like they are offended that we want more than status quo. That we expect them to fight.

And maybe stop trying to convert moderates when they blame leftists for losing. They could try being more leftist if they want leftist votes?
February 8, 2026 at 6:27 PM
Obviously I'm voting for the lesser evil.

But it would be nice if the Dems would aim a little higher than "not fascist" maybe "universal healthcare, tax the rich, mandatory paid leave a living wage, and prosecution of trump and his administration"
February 8, 2026 at 6:23 PM
Honestly just the fact that this was possible demonstrates how pervasive gerrymandering that advantages the Republican party is across the country. More of this please.
February 7, 2026 at 2:12 PM
Trying to negotiate with Republicans is beyond stupid. We have at least 25 years of evidence of this.

Enough compromise.
January 31, 2026 at 5:36 PM
Fitting since neither Melania or her husband have any redeeming qualities.
January 31, 2026 at 1:25 PM
And people detained by ICE have been raped, beaten and killed. Don't forget them either. ICE needs to be dismantled and everyone associated with the organization and the trump administration in general needs to be charged with treason
January 31, 2026 at 12:54 AM
And I'm saying the Dems have compromised enough. Time for them to play obstructionists and not cave.

A government shutdown is preferable to continuing to advance Trump fascism.

And they NEVER get anything back.
January 31, 2026 at 12:13 AM
Well maybe they could have gotten some Republicans to compromise. Or are only Democrats expected to do that?

From what I've seen the only bipartisan bills work in Republicans favor. They haven't compromised for decades so I don't know why Dems do
January 30, 2026 at 11:45 PM
But if they had said they would go for it if the midterms went their way maybe it would have gone differently.

It doesn't seem like they have any ambition to make things better. They didn't even codify roe

I have voted blue no matter who but I want them to aim for progress instead of compromise
January 30, 2026 at 11:17 PM
The Dems like to give up before they try. Obama had a super majority for a short time.

Oh we can't do that.

Well, didn't stop the Republicans.

Sure they didn't follow the law, but it doesn't appear that there are any consequences for that so we fix stuff and then fix the loopholes
January 30, 2026 at 9:24 PM
Maybe the Democrats should have investigated more when the "winning" candidate's brother had a bunch of weird voting irregularities in his state.

Also maybe they should have done something about the electoral college and first past the post voting sometime in the last 25 years
January 30, 2026 at 9:20 PM
Even when their refusal to compromise would do nothing they still jump all over themselves to compromise. Why would I believe they would push for change if they vote for trump appointees and the big bullshit bill?

Like they can't even make a show of pretending to oppose Trump's agenda?
