Between signing off from work yesterday and signing on this morning, all but two of my meetings were cancelled. This is the closest thing to a snow day I’ve had in my career.

When I go to the office for work, I typically have to wear headphones to drown out the noise of people talking around me. Working from home, I also have to wear headphones to drown out the noise of my retired neighbor constantly running outdoor power equipment.

Nearly 10:00am and I was having an unusually peaceful and productive morning with work and realized I’ve had sound muted and have about 80 unread messages.

I’ve been working from home for 6 years and recently moved my office to a different room in the house and there have been an embarrassing number of times I’ve taken a break and then walked back into the wrong room.
