Al art and 3D printed items at Cheshire Game & Country Fair Sir/Madam, Another wonderful display this weekend at the Cheshire Game & Country Fair. I was however very disappointed to see that several craft stall holders are selling Al generated images or widely available 3D printed items. Al generated art is horrendous for the environment and relies on copyright theft from true creators and should have no place at an event of the quality of yours. The stall holder is not the artist of these images. It's a computer that nAnArates them from text ramnts The stall holder is not the artist of these images. It's a computer that generates them from text prompts with zero artistic effort from the creator and then priced obscenely highly for the effort involved. These images are free to generate or similar images cost £1 or less to buy from Chinese websites like Ali Express or Temu. With regards to 3D printed items, these are widely and freely available designs such as dragons or similar and there is no artistic effort involved on the part of the creator. A car boot sale is a better home for these than a prestigious craft fair. I'd actively encourage your fairs to ban Al art or 3D printed items from stalls in favour of promoting local home for these than a prestigious craft fair. The high calibre of true local artists that are already under pressure from rising costs of supplies. Hosting these Al art booths also crowds out prospective artists from taking a space at your event.
