There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.

Going into 2023, my goal was to hit 10k by the end of the year.

To be honest, I thought it was a bit of a long shot.

But then I joined both @SparkLoopHQ & the @ConvertKit Creator Network...

So I guess I'm shooting for 20k by EOY now?

If you can't explain every step of your growth strategy in granular detail... you don't have a strategy.

For every marketing activity, define:

🎯 The intended result
✅ The action to achieve it
🤔 Why it will work

Otherwise, you're operating on hope.

The time between delivering a podcast audit & waiting for a response is always nerve-wracking.

I make a point to deliver audits w/ kindness & empathy...

But I also make a point not to pull any punches and call out all the issues that are keeping the show from growth.

The 80/20 rule of growing a podcast:

1. Create a show that aligns with existing audience demand...

2. In an original & compelling way.

Too many creators & teams try to skip one or both of these steps... and then wonder why marketing is so hard.

Instead of using your podcast intros to tell your listeners why they should keep listening, cut the preamble and show them.

Good intros aren't just a table of contents.

They hook listeners, then set the stakes in a way that makes them feel invested.

Think of each episode as a landing page.

Its job is to sell to your listeners that you're worth engaging with further.

This means:

✍️ Speaking to their pain points & desires
✍️ Showcasing your credibility
✍️ Offering them a compelling path forward
