I wrote this story because I wanted to explore humanity in extreme situations. Some rise to be heroes while others fall victim to circumstance. Ultimately, the characters are each asked, "What does it mean to be human?" Their answer: "We fight."

People with abilities begin to emerge and the government begins to segregate them. Later, they're imprisoned and sentenced to death. When a nuclear power plant turns New England into a wasteland, these Children of Nostradamus are exiled. Thus begins our tale.

I wrote this years ago, but it's frightening when fiction turns into reality. However, in 2012 an astronomical event predicted by Nostradamus comes to pass. The world didn't end. The world as we knew it did.
