Another rabbit hole well worth the dive
I can answer this. I interviewed Peterson's tailor a few years ago, although the interview was never published because I fell behind on work. Here is the story of this suit. 🧵
What is happening with this outfit?

Always worth your time to read when Derek Guy takes a dive into these sorts of things. I guessed correctly but for the wrong reasons. Take a look!
Of these four pairs of shoes, which two pairs do you think are the lowest in quality?

Make a choice before opening this thread. Then I'll tell you something about shoe quality. 🧵

About 2 years ago, we were having this deep conversation about the meaning of music and how it can trigger memories.

For me, it is a specific playlist that I have been keeping since 1981. I call it "Of Times and Places". I have over 200 songs on that playlist, which isn't a lot for 45 years.

Heinlein was wrong. No one is capable of doing all of these things. The beauty of society is that we do not need to - if we work together, we can accomplish anything.

Do what you love. Do what you're good at. Try to make these one and the same. And then, work together.
I have to remind myself of this Heinlein quote from time to time as a resistance against the oppression of experts and specialization:

I don't know if **everyone** at Foggy Bottom knows Dink, but certainly everyone on the Foreign Service side knows him.
🇺🇸 A Different Kind of Outrage 😲

Everone at Foggy Bottom knows Dink. The joke is that he joined right after Benjamin Franklin. Most recently, after almost 4 decades of service, he was elected to head AFSA (the union for U.S. diplomats).

He was fired yesterday.

The disrespect is intentional.

Fantastic thread which takes you down a rabbit hole that you weren't expecting, but most certainly needed. Well done @dieworkwear.bsky.social !
Not true.

I see you're a luxury watch dealer. I'm also interested in watches. Let me show you how free and easy migration has allowed you to earn a living. 🧵

I realize I do not have many followers here, but I love this story and this charity. One of these days, should I ever be fortunate to return to Thailand to live at least part-time, I hope I can help out. Until then, just raising awareness.
This is Tina the day I found her, tied up on a chain in Thailand.

She had been used for breeding. I’ve never seen a more broken dog.

This is the story of how Tina became the dog who changed the world…
