However accomplishing this is coming at a significant cost while we see that there is yet no answer for where significant money has gone and private companies with connections appear to be profiting off of public dollars.

As I said, I am going to try and make this shift, as many of my colleagues around the province are. It just hurts that the work so many love to do, and so many recognize as needed, is being swept under a rug.

We do need more treatment space - I don't dispute that at all, 4/?

I signed for a job with the public service having built my career in community health and now I have to pivot to learn about life as a treatment focused provider. I will do it, as best I can because having a job is better than not having one.

But we should all know by now that cuts are happening.

Those agencies that relied on the funds are closing their doors, because who can replace that large of a chunk of their funding? And the public employees are being moved to treatment -focused roles. I know this because I am one of them.

I'm glad for the union that means I still have a job, but 2/?
