People online trying to decry it as "meaningless" clearly were arguing in bad faith. Twitter links used to dominate the front page or most sports subreddits, and they've been awful for years.

Part of why Netflix seemingly can't produce anything good or memorable is that "showing people exactly what they want" sucks the life out of artistic creation. No one has their life changed by a movie created in a lab to appeal to their exact marketable demographic.
