Full honesty. I think that's the only smart thing I've seen him do beyond knowing how to ask for something and he'll only do that if you're holding something he wants, otherwise he's a lil sneak thief. Otherwise, he's our lil dummy. A lot of big dumb in his medium sized body.

I just wish we'd gotten something on the outside too, because he's managed to figure out how to open the door from that side since it pushes in and he can work the doorknob with his paws. Which is cool as hell, don't get me wrong. But he scratched the door to shit and tore the weather stripping off.

For even MORE context, this is the gator. We trained him as a puppy to scratch it and not the door if he wants out, as it's literally a cat scratch pad that hangs on our door knob. The cats don't like it because they ripped off the catnip ball.

Yeah, had to bring my dog's food/water in early this year because it was freezing.
For context he stays inside but he has his stuff on our back porch so we can't forget it if we ever have to leave him out for a time, and he just sits in front of the door/scratches the gator if he wants out.
