And to you, sir! I have been traditionally published for 20 years, and at the beginning with a big New York publisher. I recommend joining Independent Book Publishers Association. They respond very quickly to these questions. It also gets you a discount to upload to Netgalley for reviews.

Hmm. I didn't experience that. I had pre-orders up on Amazon, D2D, Google, and Apple. Kobo was already part of the extended markets on D2D. I didn't know about the Ingram problem until D2D LIED to me about having to have a separate ISBN. But IBPA told me the reason D2D was saying what they said.

I'm afraid no one promised anything. It was all a lie because they don't get that because we use tax money for societal good (firefighters, police, road repair, bridge building, farm subsidies, etc) that we are democratic socialists, only we need to go further. Like national healthcare.
