Yes but again, that’s just magic on the bsky server. As far as I can tell, there’s no atproto feature driving that, the bsky host just knows who’s invite code that is at redemption time.

Invite codes are just a feature of the bsky.social host. A 3rd party host, in theory, could allow signups without any restriction.

It’s just the case that nobody’s allowing that yet.

If I’m reading the atproto docs right, your inviter is not part of your federated identity, so this isn’t really currently possible in a verifiable way.
