The lightweight mouse trend is actually good, I miss the scroll wheel on my old mx but not enough to go back. I’m using it for productivity stuff, not really for games.

I got a cheapo VXE R1 to try one out and it’s lasted a year so far but there is probably a better one to go for.

While a generated image is going to be devoid of any context beyond what you give and it will be an inherently generic interpretation of it.

Even if all the ethical issues of using it went away, I still think doing so undercuts the purpose of a mood board. Researching and understanding what you are drawing from deepens your connection to it and the end result can serve as a starting point from others to understand it.

I got a laptop from there and it was all good. The device itself came via a 3rd party though, so I could see order fulfilment issues taking a little longer to sort out if that’s the case

You expect me to travel underground? Where the worms live??

the one annoying thing is that the default behaviour in Rider is to use var for things like int with this enabled

Being able to access my own music library from any device is very nice!

Nice, I had one a while back but sold it to fund a very similar style medium format one. The 2nd hand camera stores in Japan are great

Music for ADHD? Pretty sure most music services already have Aphex Twin and MFDOOM.

Hydrogen is less of a total dead end than e-fuels but there’s no meaningful clean or efficient production, and while it does not burn to produce CO2, there still could be problems with NOx emissions from heating air during combustion so it’s definitely still in the greenwashing camp for now

Yeah! Some trackballs use two sensors so they can map twisting the ball to scroll wheel behaviour which apparently works pretty well

I have one of these guys snorting up all the dust in my home for ages now. It’s incredibly basic, the tubes friction fit with no locking mechanism, the cord has no spring loaded rewind but the motor is strong and it’s built like a tank.

Same, it’s also nice for keeping contact with your knuckles while chopping for good knife safety, I find most other knives not quite tall enough for my hands.

This stuff bugs me since it doesn’t even need an llm! You could generate code with the already available context like the language grammar rules, what’s in scope, their members and methods, usage frequency, etc. and it wouldn’t generate broken code or boil the oceans.
